South Korean actors Kim Ji-won and Kim Su-hyun take on the lead roles in tvN's latest drama series, "Queen of Tears," set to premiere on Saturday. Written by acclaimed screenwriter Park Ji-eun, known for her work on popular Korean romance dramas like "My Love from the Star" and "Crash Landing on You," the 16-part series delves into the complexities of the married life of Baek Hyun-woo, the son of a rural supermarket owner, and Hong Hae-in, the eldest daughter of a major conglomerate owner.

Marking Kim Su-hyun's return to the screen after a three-year hiatus since his role in "It's Okay to Not Be Okay," the actor expressed his eagerness to tackle a role he has not previously explored. Kim Su-hyun, in a press conference in Seoul, highlighted that it is his first time depicting a married couple and portraying the character of an in-law, aiming to bring forth the various facets of Baek's personality, including intelligence and clumsiness.
"Queen of Tears" represents the second collaboration between Kim Su-hyun and screenwriter Park Ji-eun, following their work on the 12-part KBS drama "The Producer." The series is set to premiere on tvN with its first episode airing on Saturday.
