Walt Disney Company Korea revealed on Friday that the sci-fi action series "Moving" has achieved the distinction of being Disney+'s most-watched local original series of the year. The show, which premiered on August 9, garnered swift popularity, securing the top position as the most-watched program on the streaming platform in the Asia-Pacific region. Additionally, "Moving" claimed the leading spot on Disney+'s global chart and even surpassed Hulu's viewership in the United States within the first week of its release.

During the fourth-quarter earnings call last month, Disney CEO Bob Iger acknowledged the impact of "Moving" on the platform's global subscribers. Iger stated that the series contributed to the significant growth of core Disney+ subscribers, with nearly 7 million additions in the quarter. Highlighting the success of key originals across all platforms, Iger specifically cited "Moving" as one of the breakout hits.
Adapted from Kang Full's webtoon of the same name, "Moving" narrates the tale of individuals endowed with superpowers who conceal their abilities to safeguard their families from potential threats. The series has garnered further recognition, receiving a nomination in the Best Foreign Language Series category at the upcoming 29th Critics Choice Awards scheduled for January 14.
