NCT Wish, SM Entertainment's Japan-based K-pop boy group, released their new single "Songbird" on Monday, achieving a record-breaking number of pre-orders.
The single "Songbird," a pop-dance track featuring a catchy guitar riff, conveys a hopeful message of soaring to new heights to create miracles, symbolized by a bird that brings luck. The accompanying music video for the Korean version depicts the members of NCT Wish as delivery men, spreading love and luck to people.
In addition to the title track, the single includes the B-side "Tears Are Falling." This song expresses NCT Wish’s commitment to supporting their fans during difficult times. Both tracks are available in Korean and Japanese, catering to their diverse fan base.
The release of "Songbird" set a new benchmark for the group, with more than 630,000 copies pre-sold in Korea and Japan. This figure represents the highest number of pre-orders for NCT Wish since their debut in February.
To celebrate and promote the new single, NCT Wish held a live countdown on YouTube, Weverse, and TikTok, engaging with their global audience and building anticipation for the release.
