The game features cookies as playable characters, each possessing distinctive combat abilities. While players can embark on solo adventures, the game supports group play with up to four participants for boss battles. The polished battle mechanics contribute to a smooth and immersive gaming experience.
Cookie Run: Tower of Adventures continues the franchise's tradition of charming character designs, whimsical dessert-themed settings, and an expansive lore. Notably, the franchise's first title, Cookie Run: Oven Break, debuted in 2013, marking the successful expansion of the original game's IP and universe.
Characters like Cherry Cookie, inspired by Red Riding Hood and resembling a Harley Quinn in Willy Wonka’s factory, bring a playful and diverse element to the game. Additionally, the game's developer, Bae Hyung-ook, emphasizes a family-friendly approach, drawing from childhood memories of arcade gaming with family and friends. The game aims to encourage collaboration among players of different levels, allowing them to join forces to defeat stronger opponents.
The closed beta test for Cookie Run: Tower of Adventures is scheduled to run from Jan. 19 to Feb. 4, with application deadlines set for Jan. 17.
