According to local media outlet News1, Jennie, a member of K-pop girl group BLACKPINK, will unveil a new solo album in June. This release will be her first album since establishing her own label, Odd Atelier, last year.
Jennie, 28, has reportedly been actively preparing for her solo album while devising plans for promotional activities. Despite pursuing her solo career through her independent company, she maintains a partnership with YG Entertainment, the agency behind BLACKPINK's formation in 2016, for group-related endeavors.
After BLACKPINK's second world tour, during which they attracted approximately 1.8 million concertgoers worldwide and grossed an estimated $260 million, all four members—including Jennie, Jisoo, Lisa, and Rose—renewed their contracts with YG Entertainment for group activities in December. Despite their commitment to the group, each member has embarked on individual pursuits.
