Contemporary Hanbok Fashion Show Held in Central Seoul as Part of Tourism Campaign

Models showcased contemporary hanbok, traditional Korean dress, in a fashion show held in the Cheonggyecheon area of central Seoul on Friday.

The hanbok fashion show took place during the lunch hour, lasting for 20 minutes from noon. It was organized as part of the Korea Tourism Organization's Visit Korea Year campaign.

Titled "Korea Express Road," the fashion show aimed to promote the beauty of traditional Korean heritage to both Korean and international audiences. It served as a special event to raise awareness about the ongoing Visit Korea Year campaign for the years 2023-2024.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has designated 2023 and 2024 as Visit Korea Year, with a goal of attracting a cumulative 30 million tourists by 2027, in an effort to boost tourism in South Korea.

Models showcased contemporary hanbok, traditional Korean dress, in a fashion show held in the Cheonggyecheon area of central Seoul on Friday.
