South Korean sibling duo Akdong Musician (AKMU) has held the number one position on the Melon daily chart, Korea's largest music streaming service, for a remarkable 53 consecutive days with their August release, "Love Lee." This achievement stands as the lengthiest record among all songs released this year.
As confirmed by YG Entertainment, AKMU's management company, "Love Lee" maintained its chart-topping status from September 5 to October 28, underscoring its enduring popularity. The song also currently occupies the number one spot on Melon's real-time chart as of Sunday afternoon.

In a statement, YG Entertainment highlighted that this accomplishment underscores the distinct musical prowess of the sibling duo, saying, "AKMU's latest achievement proves the power of the duo's unique music."
"Love Lee" derives its name from the fusion of the word "lovely" and the siblings' last name, "Lee." It is characterized by its lively and effervescent quality, blending acoustic sounds with a rhythmic drumbeat.
AKMU, which emerged as the winners of SBS' audition program "KPOPSTAR Season 2" in 2012, signed with YG Entertainment and made their debut in 2014. Since then, they have released several hit songs, including "200%" (2014) and "Give Love" (2014).
The duo is preparing to embark on their "AMKUTOPIA" tour starting on November 24, with performances scheduled in major Korean cities, including Seoul, Busan, and Daegu.
