K-pop star G-Dragon, whose real name is Kwon Ji-yong, issued a firm denial of suspicions related to illegal drug use on Friday. His statement, distributed through his attorney, declared, "I've never used drugs."
The Incheon Metropolitan Police Agency had booked the 35-year-old singer on Wednesday on charges of allegedly violating the Narcotics Control Act.

In response to the allegations, G-Dragon expressed his intent to actively and sincerely cooperate with the ongoing police investigation, acknowledging that many people have expressed concern about his situation.
This isn't the first time G-Dragon has faced drug-related suspicions. In 2011, he was the subject of a drug investigation after he admitted to smoking marijuana but claimed to be unaware of the nature of the substance he had consumed. In that instance, the case was ultimately dropped by prosecutors.
