The exhibition is titled "IN THE PLAZA" and will be open from October 24 to November 12, 2023.
Choi has pursued a distinctive art technique known as 'color sculpture,' which involves adding color to artworks to depart from the aesthetics of traditional sculpture. He pursues a break with “Erkenntnistheorie” in his works. He integrates diverse colors and patterned images into his sculptures to infuse them with a highly intellectual rationale. As a result, his work is occasionally referred to as a distinctive piece that fuses elements of both painting and sculpture. Experts describe Choi's work as aligning with Existentialism, which posits that "existence precedes essence(l'existence précède l'essence, Jean-Paul Sartre)". After completing his studies in sculpture at INHA University and its Graduate school, he earned his degree from the sculpture department at the 'Accademia di Belle Arti di Carrara' in Italy.
