Koyote, the beloved trio consisting of Kim Jong-min, Baekga, and Shinji, has made a triumphant return to the charts with their latest single, Four Seasons. Released on the 4th, this modern rock track marks a refreshing departure from the group’s signature dance-pop style, showcasing a new musical direction nearly 16 months after their last release.
Choosing modern rock over their familiar dance genre, Koyote has redefined their sound, capturing the attention of fans and landing spots on major music charts. Upon its release, Four Seasons quickly climbed onto platforms like Melon, Genie Music, and Kakao Music, reinforcing Koyote’s enduring popularity as one of South Korea’s longest-standing co-ed groups.
Four Seasons quickly achieved impressive chart positions, reaching 15th on Melon (as of November 5th, 8 a.m.), 9th on Genie Music (10 a.m.), and 2nd on Kakao Music (9 a.m.). This heartfelt track, brimming with warmth, has struck a chord with listeners, while the music video highlights the timeless friendship shared by the group members, creating a powerful emotional connection.
On November 5th, Koyote released a behind-the-scenes recording session for Four Seasons, offering fans a glimpse of their dedication to perfecting this new genre. “It’s a genre we’re not very familiar with, so we practiced a lot,” they shared, having delivered flawless high notes, ad-libs, and harmonies in an impressively short time. Their polished performance demonstrates not only their vocal talent but also their commitment to musical growth.
