KRAFTON Inc. has announced the launch of ‘Mountain Dew PUBG MOBILE PRO SERIES (PMPS) 2025 Season 0’, a preseason event marking the start of this year’s PUBG Mobile esports circuit in South Korea. The tournament will take place online on March 22 and 23, featuring 12 matches across two days, with six matches per day.
A total of 16 teams will compete in the tournament. The lineup includes five official partner teams, which are Dplus KIA, DRX, FN Sejong, If You Mine Game PT, and Nongshim RedForce. Six additional teams have received special invitations, including Raise Your Dream, Vega Esports, Eagle Owls, Esports From, Reto Esports, and Restart BTD. Additionally, five teams have qualified through the open ranking tournament, namely Eureka, Team Square, Rapid Fire, ISG Salvator, and GNL Esports.
The winning team of PMPS 2025 Season 0 will receive ₩10 million ($7,500) in prize money and an invitation to the PUBG MOBILE GLOBAL OPEN (PMGO) 2025, which will be held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan in April. Furthermore, aside from the five official partner teams, the top five non-partner teams from this tournament will secure spots in Mountain Dew PMPS 2025 Season 1, the first official season of the year.
KRAFTON has also planned various fan engagement events to enhance the tournament experience. Before the start of each matchday, players will participate in a special exhibition match on the newly introduced "Rondo" map, allowing fans to witness strategic plays utilizing the map’s unique terrain and features.
Fans will also have the opportunity to interact with the event through cheering activities and prediction games. They can submit cheer messages for their favorite teams or predict final rankings, with 10 lucky participants receiving exclusive PUBG Mobile merchandise as prizes.
This year, PMPS 2025 has secured Mountain Dew as its title sponsor. As part of the sponsorship, KRAFTON will integrate virtual advertisements and branded elements into the tournament. Mountain Dew, operated by Korea Pepsi-Cola, is also planning various events tailored for PUBG Mobile esports fans throughout the season.
Mountain Dew PMPS 2025 Season 0 will kick off at 3 PM KST on both matchdays and will be broadcast live on the official PUBG Mobile Esports YouTube channel, Naver Esports, and TikTok. Fans can find more details about the tournament on the official PUBG Mobile Esports website.
