AKMU, originally known as Akdong Musician, gained prominence after winning "K-pop Star" and signing with YG Entertainment. Despite the label's focus on hip-hop acts like Big Bang and 2NE1, AKMU carved out a niche with their unique musical style. They have since received numerous accolades, including the Korean Music Awards’ Best Pop Album for their debut album “Play” and the Song of the Year at the Golden Disc Awards for “Last Goodbye.”
In addition to the concert, AKMU released their third EP "Love Episode" in June and launched an LP edition compilation in celebration of their anniversary. They are scheduled to perform at Japan's Summer Sonic 2024 festival in August.
