TEMPEST, the K-pop boy band, introduced its latest album, "TEMPEST Voyage," on Monday, despite facing a lineup change due to member Hwarang's decision to step back from group activities. Hwarang's hiatus follows a recent controversy surrounding his visit to a club, which went viral on social media.

In response to the situation, TEMPEST's agency released a statement on March 6, announcing Hwarang's decision to halt his group activities. The agency cited challenges in rebuilding trust, leading to difficulties in continuing full-team activities.

Nevertheless, the group proceeded with the scheduled release of its fifth mini-album, "TEMPEST Voyage," and addressed the situation during a press event at the Yes24 Live Hall in Gwangjin District, Seoul, on the same day.

TEMPEST members acknowledged concerns among fans and expressed their commitment to delivering a compelling performance. The group emphasized its evolving journey and the aim to connect with a broader audience through their latest endeavor.

"TEMPEST Voyage" showcases the group's exploration of new creative territories, presenting a more refined and mature musical direction compared to previous energetic releases. The title track, "LIGHTHOUSE," delivers a message of hope and resilience, symbolizing a guiding light in challenging times.

LEW, the group's leader, shared his intention to provide inspiration through the song, highlighting its comforting melody. Other tracks on the album, such as "There," "B.O.K.," and "Slow Motion," exhibit a diverse range of styles, reflecting the artistic growth of the group.

Member Hyungseop described the new album as a testament to TEMPEST's journey of growth and resilience. Despite the challenges, the group remains dedicated to facing worries and hardships, as evidenced by their latest record.

TEMPEST originally debuted as a seven-member band with members LEW, Hanbin, Hyeongseop, Hyuk, Hwarang, Eunchan, and Taerae.
