Big O!cean, the inaugural K-pop boy group featuring hearing-impaired members, is scheduled to enter the music scene on April 20, coinciding with Korea's Day for Persons with Disabilities.
Comprising Park Hyun-jin, Kim Ji-seok, and Lee Chan-yeon, the trio will make their debut with the digital single "Glow," a rendition of H.O.T.'s 1998 hit song, "Hope." "Hope" carries a message of optimism and reassurance for individuals facing challenging circumstances, encouraging them to persevere in the face of adversity.

According to their agency, Parastar Entertainment, Big O!cean will perform "Glow" in Korean Sign Language, American Sign Language, and International Sign.
Parastar reportedly employed advanced artificial intelligence (AI) technology to support the members, creating synthesized vocal sounds derived from their voices through deep learning. This innovation enables them to showcase a broader vocal range and enhance the accuracy of their singing.
In February, Parastar forged partnerships with various IT companies at MWC Barcelona, a technology fair, to address challenges related to pitch and singing capabilities among the group members. Additionally, they developed a specialized light metronome to compensate for their hearing limitations during performances.
Parastar emphasized that Big O!cean's debut represents a significant development in environmental, social, and governance culture, aligning with growing interests from companies and the public.
Ahead of their debut, Big O!cean established a presence on X account (formerly Twitter), introducing themselves and hinting at their upcoming musical endeavors. The trio also garnered attention for participating in a dance challenge alongside prominent boy band RIIZE.
