According to a report from local media on Thursday, Rose of Blackpink will contribute to the original soundtrack of a TV K-pop competition.

Rose will be featured in the signal song for "I-Land 2: N/a," a program set to produce a girl group under the direction of Teddy, the head of The Black Label. Teddy is known for producing numerous hits for Blackpink, including "Ddudu-Ddudu," as well as Rose's solo track "On the Ground."

The first season of the show aired in 2020 and resulted in the formation of the boy band Enhypen. The theme song for the inaugural season was crafted by Hybe head Bang Si-hyuk and IU.

Last month, on her birthday, Rose teased fans with a preview of her self-written song "Vampirehollie" via Instagram, hinting at her forthcoming solo endeavors. It has been three years since the release of her solo album, "R." The focus track "On the Ground" debuted on Billboard's Hot 100 at No. 70 and secured the top spot on the iTunes top songs chart in 51 regions.
