Female K-pop Artists Dominate YouTube's Top 10 Most Popular Music Videos in Korea

YouTube Korea's year-end report revealed the dominance of female K-pop artists in the list of the top 10 most popular music videos in Korea, covering views from January 1 to October 31.

IVE claimed the top spot with their track "I Am," released on April 10, and secured another position at No. 4 with "Kitsch," making them the only act with two tracks in the top 10. (G)I-DLE followed at No. 3 with "Queencard," while NewJeans' "Super Shy" and aespa's "Spicy" landed at No. 7 and No. 10, respectively. Blackpink's Jisoo made her solo debut at No. 5 with "Flower."

Solo artists also made a notable impact, with trot singer Lim Young-woong's "Grain of Sand" at No. 2 and BTS's Jungkook securing the eighth spot with his solo track "Seven," featuring American rapper Latto. Seventeen was the sole K-pop boy band on the list, taking No. 9 with "Super."

Japanese duo Yoasobi represented the only foreign artist on the list, claiming the No. 6 spot. In other categories, the top trending video of the year in Korea went to the 19th episode of "Not Much Prepared," featuring aespa's Karina as a guest. Rapper Lee Young-ji's YouTube short video, dancing to IVE's "I Am" with fellow cast members of tvN's "Earth Arcade," earned the title of the most popular YouTube short of the year.

American YouTuber MrBeast was recognized as the top creator in Korea, known for his channel featuring challenges and large giveaways.
