Choi Min-hwan, the drummer of K-pop band FTISLAND, and Yulhee, a former member of LABOUM, have decided to end their five-year marriage, according to a statement from Choi's agency, FNC Entertainment, released on Monday night. The agency revealed that the decision was made after careful consideration, and the couple is currently in the process of arranging their divorce. Custody of the three children will be granted to Choi.

Choi shared the news on his social media, expressing regret and acknowledging the difficulty of the decision. He stated that after extensive discussions, he and his wife mutually agreed to bring their marriage to an end. Choi apologized to those who supported their journey in building a family at a young age and promised to do his best as a father, sharing positive updates in the future.
Yulhee also addressed the divorce on her social media, stating that after much time, they have decided to support each other's separate paths. While their journey as a couple concludes, they remain committed as the mother and father of their children. Yulhee emphasized the careful consideration given to the children's well-being, with Choi taking care of the three children. She expressed dedication to spending quality time with the children to minimize practical problems and psychological anxiety.
The couple's relationship became public in September 2017, leading to Yulhee's departure from LABOUM. They welcomed their son in May 2018 and tied the knot in October of the same year. In 2020, the couple expanded their family with the birth of twin daughters.
