Ador agency reported on Tuesday that NewJeans' track "Super Shy" has secured a notable spot among "The 20 Best Songs of 2023," as recognized by The Guardian. Described as "fresher than a lightly spritzed bushel of mint" in the UK-based article published on Monday, the song's delivery by the foursome is lauded as "a cute eyelash-batting flirtation." Notably, the single claimed the No. 3 position on the list of "the year’s best tracks."

Further acclaim for "Super Shy" comes from NME, where it secured the No. 2 spot on "The 50 Best Songs of 2023." Rolling Stone magazine also acknowledged its excellence, ranking it at No. 6 on "The 100 Best Songs of 2023."

The track is one of the focal points from NewJeans' second EP, "Get Up," and made a significant impact by debuting on Billboard’s Hot 100 at No. 66, ultimately peaking at No. 48.
