Korean girl group Viviz recently unveiled their fourth EP, "Versus," following a 10-month hiatus during which they dedicated their efforts to its creation. In a press release, the group emphasized their desire to present various facets of their collective identity, highlighting their range and versatility.
"Versus" is anchored by the title track, "Maniac," and includes four sidetracks: "Untie," "Overflow," "Day by Day," and "Up 2 Me." The members of Viviz actively participated in the selection of these tracks, meticulously reviewing numerous demos to curate the final album.
Eunha, a member of Viviz, expressed their creative process, stating, "In this album, we portrayed what it looks like living in a world created by someone else's fantasy and living in a world where I get to make decisions."

Notably, the group's performance for the title track "Maniac" is anticipated, as it features choreography crafted by renowned choreographer Kany, widely recognized for his work with artists like Beyonce. According to Eunha, the choreography seamlessly complements the single's melody, with several highlight dance moves, including a signature hip-tapping move.
Viviz originally made their debut in February 2022 with the album "Beams of Prism," which was led by the song "Bop Bop." The group's lineup consists of Eunha, SinB, and Umji, who came together as Viviz in 2022 after the disbandment of GFriend, a six-member K-pop girl group founded in 2015 under Source Music.
Despite their transition, the members of Viviz acknowledge that some may still not recognize them under their new identity and hope that their performances in this latest album will strengthen their presence as Viviz.
