Fifty-eight students from Thammasat University's Korean Studies Program participated in an immersive cultural experience at the Korea Cultural Center (KCC) Thailand on November 17. The educational field trip was designed to provide students with hands-on exposure to various aspects of Korean culture as part of their academic studies.

The Korea Cultural Center organized multiple interactive workshops specifically for the visiting students. The day's activities included a tteokbokki-making workshop, where students learned to prepare the popular Korean rice cake dish, and a traditional Korean calligraphy workshop that introduced them to the art of Korean brush writing. These hands-on experiences allowed students to engage directly with Korean culinary and artistic traditions.

In addition to the workshops, the students explored the 2025 K-Book Exhibition currently on display at the center. The exhibition provided them with insights into Korean literature and publishing culture. The students also participated in various cultural activities that offered a comprehensive introduction to Korean traditions, including trying on hanbok, Korea's traditional clothing, and playing traditional Korean games.

The cultural immersion experience concluded with students sampling eomuk, a famous fish cake delicacy from Busan, South Korea's second-largest city. This culinary component added another dimension to their understanding of regional Korean food culture and traditions.

The Korea Cultural Center expressed hope that this comprehensive field trip would enhance the students' Korean language learning experience by providing cultural context to their academic studies. The center emphasized that experiencing Korean culture firsthand would help students develop a deeper understanding of the language they are studying at Thammasat University.
