Hwang Sun-hong, 55, and Shin Tae-yong, 53, are both highly regarded in Korean football history, with Hwang enjoying international success and Shin making a name for himself in the domestic K League.
Shin previously coached the Korean national team at the 2018 FIFA World Cup, where they defeated Germany in the group stage.
Hwang has primarily worked with the under-23 national team and has not yet managed the senior squad on a permanent basis.
Both coaches have experience coaching in the K League, with Hwang's Busan IPark and Pohang Steelers having faced off against Shin's Seongnam during their respective tenures.
Indonesia has called up several foreign-born players of Indonesian descent for the tournament, providing them with additional experience from previous competitions such as the AFC Asian Cup.
Korea boasts forward Lee Young-jun as a key player in their offense, although he was rested during the final group match against Japan.
