In a thrilling new crime series on Disney+ titled "The Worst of Evil," viewers are immersed in an intense bromance action story between an international drug kingpin and an undercover cop. The show features acclaimed actors Wi Ha-joon and Ji Chang-wook in the central roles.

Set against the backdrop of 1990s Seoul, this crime thriller directed by Han Dong-wook follows the narrative of police detective Park Jun-mo (played by Ji). Jun-mo undertakes an undercover mission within a criminal organization, aiming to investigate an international drug cartel with hopes of earning a promotion.

Jung Gi-cheol (portrayed by Wi) leads a mega crime syndicate at the core of the drug trade connecting Korea, China, and Japan. He reluctantly accepts Jun-mo as a new member of the gang but remains skeptical of his intentions.

As the plot unfolds, Jun-mo discovers that his wife, Yoo Eui-jung (played by Im Se-mi), who is also a detective, has volunteered for the perilous mission to dismantle the drug ring. To his surprise, Eui-jung seems to harbor a hidden history with Jung.

Wi, known for his roles in "Squid Game" (2021) and "Little Women" (2022), expressed that "The Worst of Evil" offers a new and compelling crime narrative tailored for noir genre enthusiasts. He emphasized that while it may not be suitable for family viewing, the series promises a fresh and captivating experience for its audience.

"The Worst of Evil" showcases Wi's character as a drug kingpin with a complex persona, torn between his ruthless criminal past and a yearning for love from his first flame, Eui-jung.

"I have watched Chang-wook's action performances since I was young. Together, I believed we could create authentic action scenes," Wi remarked, commending Ji for his emotionally charged action-packed performance.

Ji, known for his roles in "Suspicious Partner" (2017) and "The K2" (2016), echoed the sentiment, highlighting the exceptional chemistry he shares with Wi on screen. He praised Wi's action sequences, emphasizing his dedication and remarkable performance.

"The Worst of Evil" is set to premiere on Wednesday, unveiling the narrative with its first three episodes, inviting viewers into a world of suspense and intrigue.
