K-pop group Seventeen marked a significant moment at the 13th UNESCO Youth Forum, becoming the first K-pop group to address the international organization at its Paris headquarters. Twelve out of thirteen members took the stage, clad in simple black suits, with S. Coups absent due to a leg injury.

During a special session on the forum's first day, six members from three different countries shared their personal stories, highlighting how they overcame challenges and worked together towards common goals. Seungkwan opened the session, reflecting on his childhood on Jeju Island, a UNESCO-designated Biosphere Reserve, Natural World Heritage Site, and Global Geopark.

The group, formed in 2015, emphasized their journey of growth, solidarity, and overcoming adversity. Woozi, the main producer, recounted the initial skepticism surrounding the group's success, given their young age and large member count. Despite the doubts, Seventeen found success through their unique approach of teaching, learning, and having fun together.

Seventeen's global impact was acknowledged, particularly their chart-topping success on the Billboard 200 chart. The group's longevity and contract renewals with Pledis Entertainment set them apart in the dynamic K-pop industry.

The members discussed their efforts beyond music, highlighting a campaign with UNESCO's Korean National Commission called "GoingTogether," aimed at raising awareness about the importance of education. Their commitment to improving educational infrastructure in less developed countries was underscored during the forum.

The group concluded the session with a performance of selected songs and a specially made "God of Music" music video, showcasing their multifaceted contributions beyond the K-pop realm.
