The historic Changgyeonggung Palace is set to illuminate its iconic landscapes with the "Moonlight Lotus" nighttime exhibition, offering visitors an enchanting blend of traditional architecture and modern media art. This special event, which runs from March 7 to December 31, will bring a mesmerizing fusion of light and history to one of Seoul’s most cherished cultural sites.

At the heart of the experience is Chundangji Pond, where a stunning display of lights will transform the palace grounds into an ethereal nighttime spectacle. Key locations such as Baeksong Tree, the Grand Greenhouse, and the scenic walking trails will also feature light installations, enhancing the palace's tranquil atmosphere.

The event will showcase three exclusive media art films reflecting the seasonal beauty of spring and autumn in Changgyeonggung. These carefully curated projections will complement the palace’s historical ambiance, providing visitors with a contemporary yet deeply immersive cultural experience.

Unlike many special exhibitions, no reservations are required to attend. Any visitor with a Changgyeonggung admission ticket (1,000 KRW) can freely explore the illuminated grounds from 7 PM to 9 PM (excluding Mondays when the palace is closed).

The National Heritage Promotion Agency, the organizer of the event, encourages visitors to experience Changgyeonggung after sunset when the full beauty of the "Moonlight Lotus" comes to life. With its harmonious blend of light and heritage, the event promises to be a must-visit attraction for those looking to embrace the romance of a spring or autumn evening in Seoul.
