K-pop girl group NewJeans has clinched the No. 1 spot on Oricon’s daily singles ranking with their debut Japanese single album, “Supernatural,” released in Japan on Friday.

“Supernatural” also dominated real-time music charts on Japanese platforms like Line Music and AWA, while achieving a notable position at No. 13 on Melon’s Top 100 as of June 22.

NewJeans boasts 10 songs on Melon’s Top 100, including two Korean singles released on May 24 -- “How Sweet” at No. 2 and “Bubble Gum” at No. 5.

The music video for “Supernatural” secured the No. 2 spot on the YouTube music chart’s Global Daily Top Music Videos dated June 21.

The album’s title track, a nostalgic new jack swing song, features involvement from pop star Pharrell Williams in composition and lyric-writing.

Aside from “Supernatural,” the quintet’s first Japanese single album includes the B-side track “Right Now” and instrumental versions of both tracks.

NewJeans is scheduled to perform their latest tracks on TBS’ “CDTV Live! Live!” on Monday.
