NOH Sangho, a contemporary artist who has built an original world of work centered on paintings based on wealthy images in the online world, held a solo exhibition "HOLY."
The artist's work projects the artist's concerns about how to consume and create images under contemporary conditions. The works in the exhibition were produced using numerous images generated by AI, going beyond the existing method of using images collected while surfing online.

'HOLY(2022~)', the name of the exhibition and major series of the exhibition, is the result of actively accepting AI technology as another creative subject of digital images today.
Currently, commercialized AI image generation programs constitute solid scenes like photos, but on the one hand, they also produce bizarre images due to the imperfections of technology.

AI works that slightly deviate from the logic of the real world, such as a two-headed deer, a six-fingered person, or a huge burning snowman, symbolize their spiritual identity between digital and analog worlds through unrealistic scenes created by technical errors.
The exhibition will be held at Arario Gallery in Seoul until Apr. 20.
