BTS member J-Hope has once again proven his solo power on the global stage by landing his latest single “Mona Lisa” at No. 65 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, dated April 6, 2024. Released on March 21, the digital single marks J-Hope’s seventh career entry on the chart, tying the record for the most Hot 100 entries by a K-pop soloist—previously held by his bandmate Jungkook.
J-Hope first entered the Hot 100 in 2019 with “Chicken Noodle Soup,” featuring Becky G, which debuted at No. 81. He followed up with two tracks from his debut solo album Jack In The Box: “MORE” peaked at No. 82 and “Arson” at No. 96, both in 2022.
His collaborative single “on the street” featuring J. Cole climbed as high as No. 60 in 2023, while “LV Bag,” which included his feature, reached No. 83. Earlier this year, his single “Sweet Dreams” debuted at No. 66—bringing his 2024 Hot 100 entries alone to three with the addition of “Mona Lisa.”
The song also charted impressively on Billboard’s international rankings. “Mona Lisa” placed No. 14 on the Global 200 and No. 9 on the Global Excl. U.S. chart, marking a new personal best for J-Hope in both categories. It also soared to No. 1 on the Digital Song Sales chart, reaffirming his digital dominance.
J-Hope’s continued success comes amid the ongoing solo activities of BTS members during their military service period. Jimin’s second solo title track “Who” recently entered the Global 200 at No. 45, while Jungkook’s breakout hit “Seven” remains steady on the chart at No. 120.
As BTS approaches its military hiatus midpoint, individual members are not only maintaining their presence but expanding their global influence—J-Hope being a prime example of a solo artist evolving far beyond the group’s foundational fame.
