Lisa, the rapper of the K-pop girl group Blackpink, has broken two Guinness World Records with her solo album "Lalisa." The album, which consists of two songs, "Lalisa" and "Money," became the first by a K-pop solo artist to amass a billion streams on Spotify. Lisa also earned the title of the fastest female K-pop soloist to reach a billion accumulated streams with her songs, including her collaboration with DJ Snake on the single "SG."
This achievement brings Lisa's total Guinness World Record count to seven, the highest for any K-pop solo singer. She previously set a record for the most-watched video by a solo artist on YouTube within 24 hours for the "Lalisa" music video, with 73.6 million views. In addition, Lisa earned three more records in 2021 for her performance at the MTV Video Music Awards and the MTV Europe Music Awards, becoming the first K-pop soloist to win the best K-pop prize in both award shows, as well as for being the most followed K-pop artist on Instagram.
Lisa's group, Blackpink, also holds 21 Guinness World Records, the latest of which was added in April when the quartet's YouTube channel became the most-viewed music channel on the platform.
Currently, Lisa is on the Asian leg of Blackpink's world tour "Born Pink," which started in October 2021 in Seoul. The band will next travel to France and four stadiums in the United States before heading to London in July to headline the British Summer Time festival.
