Koream Corporation, a Korean export company, has announced the pre-order launch of 'BTS Recipe Book 2' in Thailand. The book, published by Cake, a subsidiary of Naver Snow, introduces dishes that the popular K-POP band, BTS, have made and eaten themselves. The book also includes stories related to each dish and the band's recipe instructions, making it an educational content for learning Korean.
Koream Corporation signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Cake in March for the utilization of Hallyu (Korean Wave) IP-based contents and is exclusively distributing them in Thailand. The company is also operating 'KOREAM,' a platform specializing in the Korean Wave in Thailand, which has more than 30 Thai fan clubs of Hallyu stars.
Kim Jin-soo, CEO of Koream Corporation, said that using the 'BTS Recipe Book 2' as a bridgehead, the company will continue to expand the product awareness and influence of various Korean companies in the Thai market. Koream Corporation has been planning performances and events in Thailand since 2009 and has accumulated local experience and database for many years.
Thailand has a high demand for and trust in Korean products and services, said Kim, and the company aims to take the lead in spreading various Hallyu cultures in Thailand. The 'BTS Recipe Book 2' will be pre-ordered through large local distributors in Thailand to compensate for the risk of trading with individual sellers for BTS fans living in Thailand, said an official from Koream Corporation export.
Last year, the company published the first 'BTS Recipe Book,' which received a positive response from fans. Koream Corporation was also selected as a leading company for attracting foreign patients and medical tourism in Korea. The company established a local corporation in Thailand in 2022 and completed the establishment of a corporate affiliated research institute in 2023 to expand infrastructure for export.
