(G)I-dle's seventh mini album, "I Sway," has achieved remarkable success by selling over 1 million copies in its first week, according to Cube Entertainment on Tuesday. This milestone marks the group's third consecutive million-seller, following their sixth EP "I Feel" and the LP "Two," released last year and January this year, respectively.
The new album has also topped the iTunes Top Albums chart in 18 regions upon its release. Additionally, the lead single "Klaxon" has climbed to No. 16 on Melon's Top 100 chart, showcasing the group's continued popularity.
In celebration of the album's success, a pop-up store in Seoul is featuring merchandise inspired by the lead single until next week. Plans are also underway to open similar stores in Shanghai and Tokyo soon.
Moreover, (G)I-dle is set to embark on their third international tour, starting with a two-day concert in Seoul next month. The tour will cover 13 additional cities, including Hong Kong, Tokyo, Houston, and Sydney, further solidifying their global presence.
