Notably, the exhibition takes its name from "Ars," the studio that the artist established in Busan in 1946, where war refugees had gathered during the Korean War.
"Ars," meaning "art" in Latin, reflects the artist's aspiration to elevate photography as a form of art.
This exhibition offers an opportunity to reflect on the legacy of Korean photographic art through the eyes of a master who journeyed through an era.
