Actor Lee Jong Suk has once again demonstrated his commitment to giving back by donating 100 million KRW to Seoul Asan Medical Center. According to his agency, A-Man Project, the donation will provide medical and surgical support for pediatric patients and children from underprivileged backgrounds battling serious illnesses.
The contribution will be allocated to medical expenses, covering treatment and surgeries for children in need. Additionally, it will support comprehensive healthcare services aimed at improving the quality of life for young patients and their families dealing with severe health conditions.
This marks Lee Jong Suk’s second consecutive year of donating to Seoul Asan Medical Center. In 2023, he contributed 100 million KRW to the hospital's children’s ward. A hospital representative expressed gratitude for Lee’s continued generosity, stating, “Last year’s donation significantly supported many of our young patients, and this year’s contribution will again be a tremendous help for children and families in need.”
Since 2016, Lee Jong Suk has been consistently involved in philanthropic efforts. His contributions span various causes, including support for young adults preparing for independence, aid through the Korean Medical Association, and partnerships with international relief and development NGOs. His enduring commitment to making a difference reflects his dedication to social responsibility.
In addition to his philanthropic endeavors, Lee Jong Suk will return to the small screen in 2025 with the new tvN drama Seocho-dong. The series revolves around the daily life of a lawyer commuting to Seocho-dong, offering a realistic depiction of workplace challenges and legal professionals’ lives.
Seocho-dong reunites Lee with director Park Seung Woo, with whom he collaborated on the hit drama W (Two Worlds). The series is penned by Lee Seung Hyun, a practicing lawyer-turned-writer, adding authenticity to the narrative. Anticipation for the drama is already high among viewers.
