The deceased remains unidentified despite having distinctive tattoos and clothing that investigators hope will help lead to his identity.
On Sunday, May 25, at approximately 12:30 p.m., troopers from the Pennsylvania State Police Belfast barracks were dispatched to the Delaware River near Slateford Road following the discovery of the man's body. The location is in Upper Mount Bethel Township, situated in the Slate Belt region of Northampton County.
Authorities have released a detailed description of the deceased individual to aid in identification efforts. The man is described as either Caucasian or Hispanic, standing approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall. At the time of discovery, he was wearing a red, extra-large Under Armour t-shirt, 34 x 30 Wrangler pants, a brown braided leather belt with a gold buckle, and size 12 Redwing work boots.
Particularly notable are three black ink tattoos found on the man's body, which investigators believe could be key to establishing his identity. The tattoos include a Fox Racing logo on his upper right arm, a Native American headdress design on his upper left arm, and a religious cross on his inner right forearm accompanied by the words "Death Before Dishonor."
The Pennsylvania State Police Troop M Belfast Criminal Investigation Unit is handling the case and encouraging anyone with information that might help identify the deceased to come forward.
