Actor Lee Min Ho is set to captivate audiences in Ask the Stars (별들에게 물어봐), an upcoming tvN weekend drama that promises to blend human stories with the mysteries of outer space. On December 5, the production team released exclusive stills and new details about Lee’s character, Gong Ryong, a gynecologist and prospective son-in-law of a powerful conglomerate family.
Gong Ryong embarks on a space tourism journey before his marriage, paying an astronomical sum to visit a space station. However, his trip takes an unexpected turn as he is tasked with a secret mission that unfolds in the weightless expanse of the station.
Describing his character, Lee Min Ho said, "Gong Ryong leads a seemingly ordinary life, but he harbors a unique sense of conviction and a deep-seated attachment to the sanctity of life that others may find difficult to comprehend." Lee noted that Gong’s determination to fulfill his responsibilities, no matter the odds, was an endearing aspect of the character. "His unrefined passion, honesty, and loyalty, especially when faced with matters of life, made him feel incredibly pure," he added.
Lee shared that he was drawn to the story’s exploration of the unknown and the purity of space. "In today’s fast-paced world, it’s becoming harder to discern what truly matters. This story, set in the vast, untouched expanse of space, resonated with me because it delves into the preciousness of life and the human spirit," he explained.
