Ronan Moro has recently established his stone carving business, RM Sculptures, in a building located in Beauzac. The 33-year-old artisan specializes in sculpture, engraving, funerary art, and decorative stonework, demonstrating versatility across all aspects of stone carving craft.

The Brittany native, who has been living in the Haute-Loire region for six years, brings 17 years of experience in the trade to his new venture. For the past six years, he worked at Sarda in Yssingeaux before deciding to launch his own enterprise. His journey into stone carving began unexpectedly during his professional high school years when he initially showed interest in woodworking.

"I was first interested in wood. And at vocational high school, we went to meet a friend of my father who was a teacher, a Meilleur Ouvrier de France (Best Craftsman of France). There I discovered an XXL knife represented in stone. It was magnificent," Moro recalled. This encounter inspired him to pursue a CAP (Certificate of Professional Aptitude) in stone carving, a decision he has never regretted.

Interestingly, Moro's career choice reconnected him with a family tradition he was unaware of at the time. "My grandfather was a marble worker. And when tracing back the family tree, we discovered several ancestors who were granite workers," he revealed. This discovery added deeper meaning to his chosen profession and highlighted the hereditary nature of his craftsmanship skills.

After years of investing in equipment and deepening his expertise, Moro felt ready to establish his independent business. His workshop, located on Avenue Louis-Pasteur in Beauzac, serves as his primary workspace, though he also offers on-site services for larger projects. The artisan provides custom stone carving services and specializes in personalized and modernized funerary art.

RM Sculptures offers an extensive range of services including ornamentation work, molding, alcoves, niches, lintel inscriptions, house numbering, wells, fountains, benches, barbecues, and sundials. This diverse portfolio demonstrates Moro's comprehensive skills and ability to adapt traditional stone carving techniques to contemporary needs and aesthetic preferences.

Clients can reach RM Sculptures by phone at 06 13 59 63 37 or via email at rm.sculptures43@gmail.com. The establishment of this new business adds another skilled craftsman to the Beauzac area's artisanal community and continues the centuries-old tradition of French stone carving excellence.
