Ronan Moro has recently launched his stone carving business, RM Sculptures, setting up operations in a building in Beauzac. The 33-year-old craftsman specializes in sculpture, engraving, funerary art, and decorative stonework, bringing his expertise to the local community after years of professional experience.

Originally from Brittany, Moro has been living in the Haute-Loire region for six years and has been working in the stone carving trade for 17 years. For the past six years, he worked at Sarda in Yssingeaux before deciding to establish his own independent business. His journey into stone carving began unexpectedly during his high school years when he was initially interested in woodworking.

"I was first interested in wood. And at vocational high school, we went to meet a friend of my father who was a teacher, a Best Craftsman of France. There I discovered an XXL knife represented in stone. It was magnificent," Moro explained. This encounter inspired him to pursue a CAP (Certificate of Professional Aptitude) in stone carving, a decision he has never regretted.

Interestingly, Moro's career choice reconnected him with a family tradition he was initially unaware of. "My grandfather was a marble worker. And by tracing back the family tree, we discovered several ancestors who were granite workers," he revealed. This discovery added personal significance to his professional path and validated his natural affinity for working with stone.

After years of investing in equipment and deepening his expertise, Moro felt ready to launch his own venture. His workshop, located on Avenue Louis-Pasteur in Beauzac, serves as the base for his operations, though he also provides on-site services for clients who require work at their locations.

RM Sculptures offers a comprehensive range of services including custom stone carving, personalized and modernized funerary art, and various decorative elements. Moro's work encompasses ornamentation, molding, alcoves, niches, lintel inscriptions, house numbering, wells, fountains, benches, barbecues, and sundials. This diverse portfolio demonstrates his versatility and ability to meet various client needs in both traditional and contemporary stone crafting.

For those interested in Moro's services, he can be reached by phone at 06 13 59 63 37 or by email at rm.sculptures43@gmail.com. The establishment of RM Sculptures represents not only a new business venture but also the continuation of a centuries-old craft tradition in the Beauzac area.
