The Hazelmead Bridport Co-Housing project, completed by Barefoot Architects in 2024, spans 3,779 square meters and represents a significant advancement in residential architecture that prioritizes environmental sustainability and community interaction.
Designed under the leadership of Rob Hankey and Sam Goss, the project incorporates cutting-edge materials and construction techniques to create an environmentally conscious living space. The development features high-quality materials from renowned manufacturers including Ibstock, Ideal Standard, Rationel, Russwood, and Steel Fabrications Martock, demonstrating the architects' commitment to both durability and sustainability.
The architectural team at Barefoot Architects collaborated with multiple specialists to ensure the project's success, including CEPRO and Delta Q for environmental sustainability consulting, JFL Consultants for structural engineering, and IMA for quantity surveying. The general contracting was handled by C G Fry, while landscape architecture was provided by LT Studio, Land Products, and Aileen Shackel Landscape Design.
