Ronan Moro, a 33-year-old master stone carver, has launched his own stone carving enterprise, RM Sculptures, in a building located in Beauzac. The business specializes in sculpture, engraving, funerary art, and decorative stonework, representing the culmination of Moro's 17-year career in the craft.

Originally from Brittany, Moro has called the Haute-Loire region home for the past six years, spending his most recent years working at Sarda in Yssingeaux. His journey into stone carving began unexpectedly during his high school years. "I was initially interested in woodworking," Moro explained. "During vocational school, we visited a friend of my father who was a teacher and a Meilleur Ouvrier de France (Best Craftsman of France). There I discovered an XXL knife carved in stone. It was magnificent."

Inspired by this encounter, Moro pursued a CAP (Certificate of Professional Aptitude) in stone carving, a decision he has never regretted. Remarkably, his career choice reconnected him with a family tradition he was unaware of at the time. "My grandfather was a marble worker," he revealed. "When we traced back our family tree, we discovered several ancestors who were granite workers."

After years of investing in equipment and deepening his expertise, Moro felt ready to establish his own business. His workshop, located on Avenue Louis-Pasteur in Beauzac, serves as the base for his operations, though he also provides on-site services when needed. The craftsman offers custom stone carving work and specializes in personalized and modernized funerary art.

Moro's diverse portfolio includes ornamental work such as moldings, alcoves, niches, lintel inscriptions, house numbering, wells, fountains, benches, barbecues, and sundials. His comprehensive approach to stone carving allows him to serve both artistic and practical needs within the community.

For those interested in Moro's services, RM Sculptures can be reached by phone at 06 13 59 63 37 or via email at rm.sculptures43@gmail.com. The establishment of this business marks a significant milestone for both Moro's professional development and the local artisan community in Beauzac.
