The 2025 Amrum Photography Contest has entered its final phase, with public voting now underway for the winning photographs. This year's theme, "Mystical Amrum," generated an impressive response from photographers, with 2,262 images submitted to the competition. AmrumTouristik and Amrum-News have expressed their heartfelt gratitude to all participants for their creative and atmospheric contributions.
After an intensive review process, the jury has selected 100 photographs for the final round. Website visitors are now invited to choose their favorites from this carefully curated selection. Each person is allowed five votes, which can be distributed among their preferred images or concentrated on a single favorite photograph.
Following the format established in previous years, all photos will initially be displayed without visible rankings. The current standings of the most popular images will only be revealed starting October 30, 2025. The voting period will conclude on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at midnight.
The twelve most voted photographs will receive awards and be featured in the "Little Amrum 2026" publication, which is scheduled to be released before Christmas. This annual publication serves as a showcase for the island's most captivating imagery captured throughout the contest.
As a token of appreciation for the enthusiastic participation, AmrumTouristik is once again offering all 100 finalist images as free screensavers for download. The screensavers are available in versions compatible with both Mac and Windows operating systems, allowing viewers to immerse themselves in the mystical beauty of Amrum directly on their computer screens. This initiative continues the organization's tradition of sharing the contest's artistic achievements with the broader community while celebrating the natural splendor of the German North Sea island.
