The inaugural Hiroshima Architecture Exhibition, running from October 4 through November 30, stands as one of the most significant events of the season. This groundbreaking exhibition brings together 21 renowned architecture and art groups across seven venues in Onomichi City and Fukuyama City. The showcase features legendary Japanese architects including Kazuyo Sejima, Tadao Ando, Kenzo Tange, and Junya Ishigami, with eight dedicated exhibitions paying tribute to Pritzker Architecture Prize winners and designers of historic structures.
In Japan's capital, Designart Tokyo transforms the city into a design wonderland from October 31 to November 9. This year's festival embraces the theme "Brave: The Pursuit of Instinctive Beauty," celebrating original design that breaks away from conventional patterns. The 10-day event hosts exhibitions and parties throughout Tokyo, including the group exhibition Designart Gallery, whose space has been designed by Hong Kong-based architecture and design studio Collective.
