In a strategic move, the renowned quartet Fifty Fifty has released a compelling EP in the United States titled "The Beginning." This repack compilation encapsulates the group's previous hit songs, including revamped English-language versions and remixes of their mega-hit "Cupid." A notable addition to the 11-track album is a remix of "Cupid" featuring American actor and singer Sabrina Carpenter.
"Cupid," originally the title track from the quartet’s inaugural single released in February, made a remarkable debut on the music scene. It swiftly entered Billboard’s Hot 100 at No. 100, a mere four months after the group's debut, and maintained a noteworthy presence on the main songs chart for an impressive 25 weeks, peaking at No. 17.
However, amidst their musical success, the group finds themselves entangled in a legal battle with their agency, Attract. The members sought to terminate their contracts in June, leading to a legal dispute that saw the court ruling in favor of the firm. Undeterred, the group has since lodged an appeal, underscoring their determination to seek fair terms.
Adding to the intrigue surrounding this release, it's noteworthy that the compilation EP is an exclusive album pre-ordered by Warner Music, as confirmed by Attract. This development hints at a strategic alliance that could shape the group's trajectory in the ever-evolving landscape of the music industry.
