FKA Twigs has unveiled a new performance piece called "The Eleven" at Sotheby’s, coinciding with her latest single “Eusexua.” This is her first performance in four years and is described as a “physical and artistic quest” for self-healing. The performance features a rotating group of 11 “movers” engaging in ritualized motions, each lasting 11 minutes, inspired by somatic healing techniques.

Twigs has been working on this since 2019, emphasizing her journey of healing and reconnection with her body. She has openly discussed her trauma, including a lawsuit against Shia LaBeouf for alleged abuse. At Sotheby’s, she performed alongside diverse participants, focusing on movement that feels free rather than formal exercise.

The performance includes 11 movements, each addressing an aspect of well-being, such as “Intake” and “Crone.” These movements serve as both physical actions and prompts for meditation, allowing participants to engage with their bodies and the present moment.

Accompanied by a live score from Matteo Chiarenza-Santini, The Eleven also features visual elements like sketches and photographs of the movements. This integration of visual art and performance reflects Twigs' ongoing exploration of healing and self-discovery through her art.
