Taeyeon, a prominent K-pop singer and member of Girls’ Generation, will release her new single "Heaven" on July 8, according to an announcement by her label, SM Entertainment, on Monday. The title of the single was previously revealed by Taeyeon during a livestream, although her staff had initially censored the information.
Taeyeon’s last solo release was her fifth EP, “To. X,” which came out in November of last year. The EP topped the iTunes Top Albums chart in 18 regions, and its title track performed strongly on several domestic music charts.
Taeyeon launched her solo career with the release of her first EP, “I,” in October 2015. She is set to release her fourth full-length album in August.
In April, Taeyeon collaborated with Doyoung of NCT on a duet for his solo album “Youth.”
