K-pop group Everglow has released their new single “Zombie,” marking their return after a 10-month break during which they toured the United States, Europe, and Japan. The single, released on Monday, includes the title track “Zombie” and two B-sides, “Colourz” and “Back 2 Luv.”
The title track, “Zombie,” has drawn attention due to its collaboration with The Stereotypes, a production team known for working with artists such as Bruno Mars, Silk Sonic, Ne-Yo, and Justin Bieber. According to Everglow member Onda, the song explores themes of love and hatred, presenting a mysterious and dark allure.

The music video for “Zombie” features the group’s six members in pale makeup and platinum blonde wigs, embracing a haunting zombie concept. Member Yiren expressed concerns about embodying the calm and chic mood of the song but noted that the group enhanced the theme through research and collaboration.
Onda highlighted the effort to incorporate eerie elements into their gestures and choreography, while Mia emphasized the focus on facial expressions and emotions over powerful dance moves. The group aimed to convey a sense of heartbreak and desperation in their performance.
E:U, another member of Everglow, explained that the hospital setting of the music video aligns with the zombie theme, with scenes depicting the members healing each other. Onda added that, despite the music video's horror theme, their stage performances will showcase the group’s charms.
Everglow, celebrating their fifth anniversary this year, credits their teamwork for maintaining a stable group dynamic. E:U mentioned that the members have not had conflicts due to effective communication, a sentiment echoed by Mia.
Leader Sihyeon expressed hopes that “Zombie” will receive love and achieve success on music charts. The group aims to deliver unique performances and impactful moments on stage, aspiring for a first-place win on music shows with their new release.
