The Korean Cultural Center in Sweden will participate in the 2025 Göteborg Book Fair, featuring a comprehensive Korean literature promotion booth and hosting special seminars with internationally acclaimed Korean authors Bora Chung and Juhea Kim. The four-day event represents a significant cultural exchange initiative aimed at promoting Korean literary works to Swedish and international audiences.

The Korean Literature Promotion Booth will operate from September 25 through September 28, 2025, at Svenska mässan, located at Mässans gata 10 in Göteborg, Sweden. The booth, designated as C02:22 on the first floor of the exhibition hall, will maintain varying hours throughout the fair. On Thursday, September 25, the booth will be open from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, followed by extended hours on Friday, September 26, from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Saturday, September 27, will see operating hours from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, while the final day, Sunday, September 28, will run from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Two prominent Korean authors will lead individual seminars as part of the main fair programming. Juhea Kim will present her seminar titled "Love in Hopeless Conditions" on Friday, September 26, from 5:00 PM to 5:45 PM at Svenska mässan. The following day, Saturday, September 27, Bora Chung will deliver her presentation on "Speculative Depicters of Society" from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the same venue. Both seminars will provide attendees with insights into contemporary Korean literature and the unique perspectives these authors bring to global literary discussions.

Additional programming within the Korean Literature Promotion Booth will feature specialized seminars focusing on different aspects of Korean publishing. On Friday, September 25, from 3:00 PM to 3:45 PM, the Korean Picture Book Publishers Association will host a seminar exploring "Various Ways Korean Picture Book Publishers Communicate with Readers through Picture Books." This session will highlight innovative approaches in Korean children's literature and publishing strategies.

The cultural exchange will culminate with a joint seminar and book signing event featuring both Juhea Kim and Bora Chung on Saturday, September 27, from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM within the Korean Literature Promotion Booth. This special session, themed "Korean Women's Voices in Global Literature," will provide visitors with an opportunity to engage directly with the authors, discuss their works, and obtain signed copies of their books. The event underscores the growing international recognition of Korean female authors and their contributions to contemporary world literature.
