In a recent Instagram post on Monday, singer Kim Jae-joong raised concerns about the presence of "sasaeng taxis," a term in K-pop referring to hardcore fans who engage in stalking behaviors. The post came one day after the artist held a fan concert.
Kim expressed criticism towards the sasaeng taxis and those facilitating their activities, particularly taxi drivers who profit from engaging in what he referred to as "mission-impossible-like missions." In an Instagram story, he shared a clip of taxis waiting outside the venue of his fan concert at the Blue Square in Yongsan District, central Seoul.

The singer mentioned the prevalence of sasaeng taxis on every corner, with drivers claiming they have no choice but to chase after the car carrying celebrities as per their customers' requests.
Kim revealed securing Blackbox footage of six vehicles involved in such activities and expressed plans to collect more in the future. He emphasized the need for severe punishment for those violating privacy and causing distress to celebrities.
Referencing a past incident where someone threatened to attend his wedding, Kim expressed hope that the individual fulfills the promise and serves jail time. He concluded by stating, "[It’s been] 20 years. Let’s end it here."
Additionally, Kim disclosed the business card of one of the taxi operators involved, asserting that these operators are more culpable than the passengers, as they profit from breaking laws while passing on responsibility to customers.
Kim Jae-joong, who debuted in 2003 as a member of TVXQ, left the group in 2009 to form JYJ with Kim Jun-su and Park Yoo-chun. As a solo artist, he is known for hit songs like "Mine" (2013) and "Just Another Girl" (2013). Last year, he established his own agency, iNKODE.
