Gallery Doll, to bring more chances to our daily life with art, was established in the year of 1995, Insadong, Seoul and moved to ‘Bukchon’ in Seoul, 2001. With more than ten exhibitions an year, introduced young artists with new perspectives, rediscovered matured artists’ works of experiences to the viewers to give a look through a stream of art in Korea.
In 1990s, North Korean art introduced for the first time held by a private gallery through an exhibition titled ‘Artist Across to North. Through several exhibitions ‘Retrospective on Modern Korean Printing Art’, we tried to offer budget oriented artworks to the public. We have presented various exhibitions including paintings, printing arts, sculptures, photography, installation arts and Korean ink wash paintings to establish a solid foundation of Korean art and our suggestions will be continued.
Also we are ready to offer custom ordered artworks such as portrait paintings, embossing portraits, half figured sculptures by experienced artist as well as artworks through the exhibitions. We will willingly suggest distinguished artworks for various spaces of usage from a private living room to a big lobby for the public. Introducing art through suggesting a daily life based beauty with characteristic creation by unique artists will be the crucial virtue that we could offer.
