IU and Lee Byung-hun donate 100 million won each to children's organizations on Children's Day

On the occasion of Children's Day in Korea, two of the country's most popular celebrities, singer IU and actor Lee Byung-hun, each donated 100 million won ($75,900) to children's organizations. IU donated the amount to the Child Fund, a domestic charitable organization that focuses on child welfare, while Lee donated to the Seoul Asan Hospital's Pediatric Department.

IU has been known for her philanthropic efforts towards children since 2015, and her recent donation will be used to provide for disabled children, children from one-parent families, and other children in need, according to the Child Fund. Meanwhile, Lee's donation will be used to help the families of child patients who are facing financial difficulties paying for their treatment.
