LE BAL, ADAGP, and the French Ministry of Culture have announced Constance Nouvel as the winner of the sixth edition of the LE BAL/ADAGP Young Creation Prize for her project "Parole divine - images d'ici et d'au-delà" (Divine Word - Images from Here and Beyond). The prestigious award recognizes emerging talent in contemporary visual arts and photography.
Nouvel will receive a grant of 20,000 euros to develop her research project, which will culminate in an exhibition at LE BAL in 2027, accompanied by a publication. Her winning project explores themes of spirituality and visual representation across different cultural contexts.
The competition was highly competitive this year, with 390 applications submitted from young artists across France and beyond. In addition to selecting Nouvel as the main winner, the jury chose to recognize five additional artists with special mentions: Zoé Bernardi, Nelson Bourrec Carter, Sido Lansari, Antoine Lecharny, and Livia Melzi.
The LE BAL/ADAGP Young Creation Prize has a distinguished history of supporting emerging artists. Previous winners include Clément Cogitore, Yasmina Benabderrahmane, Éric Minh Cuong Castaing, Marine Peixoto, and Marie Quéau. The fifth laureate, Marie Quéau, will present her project "Fury" at LE BAL from November 28, 2025, to February 8, 2026.
