BRD Entertainment announced on Wednesday that Soojin, formerly of (G)I-dle, will release a new album in May.

This announcement comes approximately six months after her solo debut with the EP "Agassy," which achieved notable success by topping iTunes top albums charts in nine regions and selling over 120,000 copies.

The music video for the EP's title track also secured the No. 1 position on YouTube's Trending Worldwide Music Videos chart.

In February and March, Soojin embarked on a tour titled "Flowering," visiting fans in Australia and Hong Kong.

Soojin initially debuted as a member of (G)I-dle in 2018 but faced controversy related to a school bullying scandal in early 2021. She departed from the group in August of the same year and returned to the spotlight as a solo singer after a two-year hiatus.
